Tip From Faye - Inventory

My inventory is far from perfect. But I have been working on it for a couple of years now. I still have about half way to go and I just keep buying more stuff. People can not help but buy more stuff. First you have to decide where you are going to put your stuff. There are the main folders: Animations, Body Parts, Clothing, Gestures, Landmarks, Objects, Photo Album, Scripts, Sounds, Textures.
Main folders I suggest to put into Animations would be AOs, Dances, and Poses. Everyone as so many of each that if they also wanted they could break those down. Dances could get subfoldered into Male Dances, Female Dances, Unisex Dances, or by Genre. Something like this can be completed for every Main Folder.
As for going through the actual items, go through and transfer items to noobs, friends, or just strangers that want your transferable items. Anything you do not want and can not transfer just delete it. There is no reason to hold on to it. This is not real life, and if you buy $L with real life money dont think of it as a waste; think of as paying a monthly fee for entertainment. Just like people do with Netflix/LoveFilm or World of Warcraft, etc.
If there are alot of items you still want to keep, put them away. Clothes you will no longer wear but dont want to toss, put them in a box and label it correctly. Put textures into an organizer then box up the textures, and if you wanted you could box up the boxed textures. Do something similar with all your photographs. I like to use a HUD Texture Organizer so I dont use up prims anywhere and I can still see everything. With your Notecards you can read them through, get rid of junk then open a new notecard and place the ones you want to keep, in that one, you could also keep boxes in a Notecard, or Notecards in a box. How ever you prefer. Do not forget to go through your scripts, sounds, and gestures. There are a lot of hidden junk in those folders.
I am not a builder but sometimes I do enjoy building. I know there are many people out there that like to have a go at building but do not do it as a serious job, which is completely fine. Box up your sculptys so that you know what they are and when you wish to build something, you do not have to have every single sculpty or object you own out in your inventory, just what you need at that moment.
I am sure I will have a part 2 sometime in the future. Nothing is perfect but I do hope that this will help things along or get you started on cleaning up your inventory so that you may use it better. Below are two pictures of what my inventory looks like at the moment. If you have any questions or comments post them below (comments section.)

You can click on the pictures if you like, they should show up bigger.
